Blurb:

Jasmine Sinclair is a successful New York reporter. She’s used to reporting the news, not making the news. After she finds herself in the middle of a major scandal; and relentlessly pursued by the press, she flees the country with her father, United States Senator John Avery Sinclair.

Intoxicated by the night life in Seoul, Jasmine dares to approach a mysterious and handsome stranger. The encounter leads to an unforgettable, passion filled weekend, but upon returning to New York Jasmine soon realizes; that nothing will quell her yearning to be with the man she loves. Will distance, ambitions and family-ties keep them apart or will they find each other again?

Excerpt:

As Brice made his way over to her, it seemed as though he was moving in slow motion. His stride was long and confident. He was tall, about six feet and a couple inches, dark brown hair that had a sexy tousled-just got out of bed look. His skin was fair and he had piercing green eyes. A guy, who obviously had too much to drink, stepped in front of Brice. While he talked to the drunken guy with the tight fitting suit and hideous comb over, Brice smiled. The guy became very animated. After a few minutes, Brice patted him on his back and continued to make his way towards Jasmine and Candace.
Brice extended his arm and said, “Hello, Candy."
Candace grabbed him, gave him a hug and said, “Brice, the film is just going to be awesome! It was so much fun working with your crew."
"Yeah, we had a blast making it."
Candace noticed Brice and Jasmine staring at each other. She cleared her throat and said, “Oh, umm, where are my manners?  This is my friend Jasmine. Jasmine, this is Brice and I'm…I’m out of here," she said with a laugh. “I see some peeps I know."
Brice smiled, and deep-set dimples appeared on each cheek.
“You know, I was going to use a line on you, but as I got closer, I realized that you deserved something original, something real, and something true. I may never see you again, so here goes... I really would like you to go for a walk with me, so that we can talk, without all…all of this," he said, looking around. "Without yelling over each other, without an audience watching and wondering."
Jasmine shook his hand. She smiled, and said with a chuckle, "How do I know that's not a line?"
He hesitated for a moment, then moved in closer, leaned down and whispered in her ear, “I’m an actor, if I were going to give you a line, trust me; it would be a hell of a lot better than that! Yes, I'm that good."
Jasmine felt his soft lips brush against her earlobe, and could smell his cologne. It was a sweet, warm woodsy scent. His five o-clock shadow was just waiting for a chance to make an appearance. She swallowed hard as she stepped back, looked in his eyes and knew she had to take this chance. She knew she wanted to hear what he had to say. She shocked herself when she turned and set her glass down on the table.
Brice held her hand, as they made their way through the crowd. The two of them walked along the beach and talked for two hours. She learned that he was in and out of foster homes, after the court took him from his drug-addicted mom. He never met his dad and didn’t know who he was.
Brice sat down on the sand, and she sat down next to him. He told her that acting was “his way out”. After he graduated high school, he took the nine hundred dollar he saved from working summer jobs, purchased a plane ticket to L.A. and never looked back.
